Nouvelle graveuse laser chez MOM Packaging : une traçabilité renforcée

A new laser marking machine at MOM Packaging: stronger traceability

We had to make some room in the MOM Packaging workshop over the past few weeks. The reason? The arrival of a new industrial laser marking machine, dedicated to marking our spare parts.

This new installation is part of a simple objective: further improving the traceability, identification, and tracking of parts manufactured for our dosing and filling machines.

A new arrival in the MOM Packaging workshop

In a workshop, the arrival of new equipment never goes unnoticed. Between freeing up space, reorganizing access, and integrating it into the production flow, every new machine slightly changes the daily routine of the teams.

This new laser marking machine will allow MOM Packaging to directly mark certain spare parts with high precision, before assembly, storage, or shipment.

The goal is not only to improve production convenience. Above all, it aims to strengthen our ability to clearly identify parts, including those with specific shapes or dimensions.

High-precision laser marking, even on complex parts

Laser marking offers a high level of precision. It makes it possible to permanently identify technical parts, even when their geometry makes marking more challenging.

The new machine will notably allow us to mark cylindrical and conical parts, as well as very large components.

This is particularly important for MOM Packaging, as some parts used on our machines are neither flat nor standard. This includes certain augers, vertical bagging machine funnels, and columns.

Why mark spare parts?

Spare part marking addresses a very practical objective: improving component traceability throughout their lifecycle.

Clearly identified parts simplify work for workshop teams, while also supporting maintenance, replacement operations, and post-delivery follow-up.

For dosing and filling machines, this traceability helps better connect a part to a machine, a specific configuration, or a technical history.

A concrete improvement in traceability

Traceability does not rely only on technical documents or records. It also depends on directly identifying parts whenever relevant.

With this new laser marking machine, MOM Packaging strengthens its ability to mark parts precisely and durably. This improvement applies to both standard parts and more specific components, particularly those used in large-scale equipment.

This initiative helps improve internal organization, spare part preparation, and long-term component tracking.

An investment supporting industrial quality

The arrival of this laser marking machine reflects an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. At MOM Packaging, investing in the workshop also means improving processes, traceability, and the quality of service delivered to customers.

This new equipment is therefore more than just an additional machine. It is a precision tool supporting manufacturing, part identification, and industrial traceability.
